Pitch action for FIFA 09 is generally fun to play. Player graphics is impressive and facial art resembles real life players, coming a long way since the old days. It is amazing how we can hold such a small gaming device in our hands and yet, it is capable of out-performing the 3D graphics of a first-generation Pentium system. Movements of the players are fluid but realistic, emulating actions such as shoulder checks, change in body momentum and player collisions.

One problem of the old FIFA releases was that the players seem to be skating rather than running. For example, players in FIFA 96 appear more to be chasing a puck in an ice hockey game rather than sprinting after a ball on a grass pitch. Thankfully, this has now been fixed. Footwork is also more aligned to the real world compared to the old series. As an example, it is important point to shield your body against defenders while receiving passes, which is reflected in FIFA 09. It will even be more effective to make a backward run at the same time, pre-empting against defenders from cutting into the ball’s path. Those who play real football games will attest to the realism in this area.

Iron Man, one of Marvel’s most durable Super Heroes, is blasting onto video game platforms and the big screen. This third-person action game will immerse players in explosive militaristic combat from the film with loads of additional content created exclusively for the game.

The missions revolve around Tony Stark utilizing his Iron Man armor to hunt down weapons he created, that are in the posession of former contracts and known enemies. Most of your time will be spent destroying stock piles of the weapons. To break up the potential ennui of said circumstance, you will take on foes on foot and in the air. Unlike the console counterpart, you also spend time both indoors and outdoors (and on some missions, both). There are a few boss battles and side objectives to keep things interesting. Also to help maximize interest, the game offers players a fair sized lislt of weapons and techniques to employ during the game, including weapons that were not used in the film (pulse rifle, gatling gun etc).

Metal Gear Ac!d 2 is basically a strategy/card/stealth game and of course the sequel for the first MGA. AC!D 2 comes with the addition of the Solid Eye with the game to play it in 3-D, But do not worry it is not required to play the game with it.Gameplay: The game play is better this time around now you have more freedom as you move around in the game, For example in the first game you have to use an action to move to a wall so you can knock on it and use another action to go hide in another location, now you can crawl and knock on the run when you still have the remaining grid blocks as you head to carry out the mission. If you know what you’re doing and you know how to play you cards you should be fine, as for me I had it easy since I played the first one. I found it really addicting since you have load of side missions( has no story for what so ever). The Arena is a nice addition of the game since you faces previous bosses from metal gears in the game. the connection between AC!D 2 and MGS3SUBSTIENCE where you can do some things like take photographs and look at them through the SOLID EYE in 3D. Gameplay is Good!

Story: Well it’s good but not something to be googling about but they do have some good plot twist. But because of a particular character you’ll probably guess he/she might not be your friend the plot might be a bit predictable.

Sound/Graphics: The sound and the in this game are well done there are no sounds I found annoying so it’s great. As for the graphics I thought they suppose to look more like comic like style but I don’t really see it, but nevertheless they are better than the last game.

Playtime/Replayability: The time it takes to complete the game story is about eleven hours, but they are filled with optional mission which could take some time the game has a New Game Plus so basically the replay value is high trying to get all the cards as you go through the game.

Final Recommendation: If your a fan of strategy’s, card game, or you are just looking for a psp game that you won’t be trading in anytime soon I suggest try picking it up.

secret agent clank

About a year ago, Sony and High Impact games gave PSP owners some Lombax and robot sidekick love with Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. While this pint-sized version offered up the same platforming and action as the Insomniac Games console versions, I felt that the bland levels, iffy controls, and not-as-cool weapons made the affair a definite step down from said versions. So here we are now and High Impact has graced us with another R&C spin-off for our handheld, this time giving everyone’s favorite robot sidekick a (sort of) solo adventure. Can Clank and friends give us a better PSP outing?

STORY

Hey, did you know that while he’s not riding on the back of his best friend Ratchet helping him save the universe, Clank moonlights as a James Bond-like secret agent…saving the universe? Well, he does! He’s got his own tuxedo and everything. Well, Clank’s latest mission has him finding out who just stole the Eye of Infinity, a very precious gemstone. Arriving at the museum where the gemstone is housed, Clank spots the burglar making off with the stone…only to find out that it’s Ratchet, who is then caught by the fuzz and carted off to prison! Of course, Clank doesn’t believe for a second that his friend would do such a thing, so he sets out to find the real culprit of the crime. Meanwhile, Ratchet, who of course has no memory of being a thief, must survive in a prison full of bad guys that he helped put away. If that’s not enough, Captain Quark is also up to some of his usual shenanigans. As you have probably figured out, the story is pretty much a spoof of every spy movie you’ve every seen, but it is pretty funny thanks to the usual R&C personalities. Fans and newcomers will be entertained enough from beginning to end.

X-Men Legends II Rise Of Apocalypse

In X-Men Legends II, the X-Men must join their enemy the Brotherhood to fight a greater menace–Apocalypse. The sequel to the team-based role-playing game X-Men Legends lets you play as one of many X-Men, and use and combine his or her unique abilities to defeat enemies. Rise of Apocalypse includes new mutant powers, playable characters, and environments. X-Men Legends II also offer multiplayer play, which lets you work cooperatively against other teams of mutants.

The X-Men have been around for a long time, having been created several decades back by Stan “The Man” Lee. Since then the merry band of mutants have starred in many games, most of which were horrible. Everything changed when Activision released “X-Men Legends” on the PS2 (it was also released on PC and X-Box) and showed the world what a great X-Men game should be like. Taking what the X-Men are known for, working as a team, XML was an action-RPG in the same vein as Diablo. So you know the drill, grab a team and go to location A, beat the holy Hell out of everything that moves while leveling up and acquiring new items, then continue on to location B. A year or so later Activision released the sequel, “X-Men Legends 2: ROA”, fixing most of the problems bogging down the original. Then a few months later they released it on the PSP, with a few new goodies thrown in.

“X-Men Legends 2: ROA” is for all intents and purposes the same exact game as its console brethren, with some exclusive add-ons to sweeten the deal of course! First up are four exclusive characters (Cable, Cannonball, X-Man and Dark Phoenix) and although they do add to the game they don’t really add too much to the story or anything else. Not to mention the fact that if you asked any X-Fan what four characters they’d want to see I doubt, with the possible exception of Cable, that any of those guys would make the list. I’m not saying that the new characters suck, it’s just that I’d rather have some established X-Men added to the roster. Also new are the nine viewable (and playable) comic book missions. These missions are the equivalent to the flashback missions seen in XML, except that they showcase much more memorable times in the X-Men universe. For example, one of these comic missions sees your team storming the orbiting Asteroid M, as seen in the “Fatal Attractions” storyline. And just think, there’s nine of them all together so any X-Geek is going to have a great time reliving those events.

Of course all this mutant goodness doesn’t come without its price. The port over to the PSP has left the game with some X-tremely (hehe) long load times. Ok so maybe not that long, but on average be ready to stare at the game’s many background screens for at least 30 seconds. It’s not a deal breaker by any means but it’s definitely worth noting. Veterans of the first game shouldn’t have too much of a problem though as the load times are on par with that game’s. Another problem that may bug some players is the overall darkness of the game. Now I’m not talking about the story being rated M or anything, I’m talking about the game literally being too dark. Certain levels such as the interiors found in The Savage Lands are so dark that you’ll often times find yourself attacking an opponent only to realize that you’re attacking one of your own team mates. Again, this is not a deal breaker in any sense but just know that playing XML2 anywhere where there’s sunlight will seriously hamper your gameplay.

So are these additions to an already great game worth you buying it (again)? Well if you haven’t played the PS2 version then slap yourself for not already having this game in your PSP. For those of you who have the console version though, check it out and see if you’ll like it. It’s the same game but the PSP’s exclusives may lure you in, plus you can take it on the go. Still, the long load times may turn off some players but stick through it and you’ll find one of the most rewarding experiences to be found on the PSP.
